NDT Radiographer Level II

Primary Responsibilities of an NDT Radiographer Level II

• Perform RT inspections on a variety of materials and components

• Interpret and evaluate radiographic images to identify defects and irregularities

• Perform X-Ray process control both on film and digital

• Generate reports detailing inspection results

• Perform other NDT inspections, primarily in RT and LT methods with some PT

• Prepare to inspect product by interpreting blueprints, data, and manuals to determine specifications, inspections and testing procedures

• Review paperwork to ensure completion and accuracy of all documents including, MIL-STD-1916 sampling size, First Articles, certificate of analysis, and conformity among others

• Inspect product to verify conformance to specification of the parts by measuring dimensions using instruments such as gauges, calipers, comparators micrometers, optical comparator, etc.

• Perform First Article inspections as required

• Actively participate in Daily Visual Management activities and communicate with the Quality Engineering team to problem solve

• Generate and perform verification activities on Non-Conforming Material and discrepancy reports

• Complies with all Quality Procedures and Policies

Required Experience & Skills of an NDT Radiographer Level II

• HS Diploma / GED and 2-5 years of relevant inspection experience is required

• Current NDT Level 2 certification in Radiography per NAS-410 or SNT-TC-1A is required

• Provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method

• Strong knowledge of radiographic testing techniques and equipment

• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Ability to obtain BATF approval to work with NDS products
