Manufacturing Lead

Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.

How you will be awarded as a Manufacturing Lead

• Monday-Thursday work week working four 10-hour days

• Off on Fridays

Primary Responsibilities of a Manufacturing Lead

• Review production master schedule and assign department workers to tasks

• Participate/lead daily department meetings

• Monitor and maintain availability of tools, materials, supplies, and labor resources

• Ensure equipment and machines are properly set up and/or adjusted properly.

• Ensure established production rates and efficiency standards are met.

• Ensure metrics are properly tracked and reported.

• Act as liaison with planning, maintenance, engineering, quality, IT, and purchasing departments.

• Review department time sheets.

• Ensure compliance of company policies and procedures

• Monitor performance of department employees and provide supervisor with documentation.

• Be trained in all manufacturing procedures and perform processor duties to cover production needs such as vacation, sickness, and other production demands as required.

• Audits production processes to ensure compliance with work instructions, standard work, 5S, shelf sensitive items, calibrations, buyoff documentation, etc.

Required Experience & Skills of a Manufacturing Lead

• High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED)

• 2 or more years of related experience

• Provide input on performance reviews

• Ability to assist in the interviewing process for new hires.

• Capacity to read and interpret procedures accurately and to provide related guidance to subordinates as required.

• Effectively present information to peers and respond to questions from others including the management team and customers.

• Ability to spot and interpret production trends and make changes and adapt accordingly to meet financial and customer needs.

• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF Processor license.
